Task 3

1. What were your expectations on starting this course?

My epectations on starting this course is that i would get a lot more knowledge on make up and how to apply it.

2. What were you intital thoughts on west college scotland and the media make up course?

My initial thoughts on the college was that it had got nicer as i was here a couple of years ago and it had been newly done up. My thoughts on the make up course is that it's very interesting and I've learned things I never new before already. 

3. What is your funniest moment of college life so far?

The funniest moment in college so far would need to be everyone trying on the wigs in class and looking so different.

4. What is the most interesting thing you have learned or learned to do so far?

The most interesting thing i have learned so far is in the Special Effects class and how to make scars and bullets wounds using wax and latex as I have never done anything like that before.

5. Who is your make up idol?

My make up idol is Bobbi brown who I also done a blog on.

6. Why do you want to be a MUA?

I want to be a MUA as i always have been interested in make up and wanted to to learn all the different types of make up and different careers in make up artistry. It something I'm really interested in so it's good to go learn about it.

Task 2 - Research on a famous make up artist.

I have choosen Bobbi Brown as a famous make up artist to write a bio about.

Bobbi brown is a professional make up artist and founder and COO of bobbi brown cosmetics. Born april 16th 1957 into a jewish family in chicago graduated from Emerson College in Boston with a degree in theatrical makeup. In 1980, she moved to New York City to work as a professional makeup artist. Brown became known for a makeup style that included moderate and natural tones, which was a stark contrast to the bright colors used at the time. In 1991, she and a chemist released a line of new lipsticks under the brand Bobbi Brown Essentials, which debuted at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City. The success of her makeup line led Estée Lauder to buy the company in 1995. Her work has since been featured on magazine covers such as Elle, Vogue, Self and Town & Country

Task 1- NASMAH

NASMAH also known as National Association of Screen Makeup Artists and Hairdressers is a professional, social and educational organisation who encourage the highest standards in the craft of media hair and make-up. In 1996, six film and television make-up artists invited 50 of the top make-up artists and hairdressers in the industry to a meeting about setting up an association for hairdressing and make-up professionals. From this meeting NASMAH was born and a constitution drawn up. NASMAH is a non-profit organisation and is funded by member subscriptions and sponsorships.
